Yesterday, Samsung teases a collaboration with French luxury fashion house Maison Margiela. The tech that is going to get the Parisian haute couture treatment is a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4. The teaser includes a video that shows an all-white flip phone cover of sorts transitioning into what appears to be an x-ray image of the device.
The teaser video is accompanied by a few images, including a shot at part of a Z Flip case showcasing Maison Margiela’s signature four stitches and another shot of hand-painted leather, captioned as “Bianchetto Leather Cover” and “hand-painted with the Maison’s Bianchetto technique.”
Also present is an image of the said white-out image of the Z Flip4 (which is probably part of the packaging) and a close-up of the aforementioned case, this time showing the hinge area that has what looked like a metal component that resembles the fashion label’s Numerical Cuff/Ring.
However, the most intriguing image is the piece of what looked like the back cover with the caption “Décortiqué Technique” and “Translucent lines that uncover the core structure of Galaxy Z Flip4”:
So, it really could be a transparent device but not entirely. Perhaps just the lines as described in the image. Intriguing.
More details are promised to be revealed on November 9 [KST]. Meanwhile, you can take a look at the teaser video below.
