Gadget accessories maker Sakamoto Radio Co., Ltd. has teamed up with YouTube channel Apple Watch Journal for a series of Apple Watch bands. The series is inspired by the military watch strap adored by divers of the French Navy “Marine nationale” in the 70s.
The GRAMAS & B& “Marine nationale” Apple Watch Band is of elastic nylon that is stretchy, lightweight, and breathable which makes it perfect for active lifestyle use. The collection consists of three colors, namely, Polar Night, Very Peri, and Cardamom Seed.
Polar Night is a gray color that reminisces the nights in Arctic and Antarctic winters. Meanwhile, Very Peri is, as the name suggests, the color that Pantone named the color of the year 2022. It is a bluish purple shade divided by a continuous white line along the watch band.
Finally, Cardamon Seed is refreshing khaki green and as odd as it may sound, this watch band is said to emit an “exotic scent.” But I am sure that will wear off after a while or eventually be overpowered by the yucky sweat smell. Just saying… Cardamon Seed further features a print issue number associated with Apple Watch Journal across the band.
The GRAMAS & B& “Marine nationale” Apple Watch Band will be available starting on August 4, 2022, from Gramas.jp for 2,200 yen (or around US$16.62 at the time of writing) a pop. Pre-orders for the watch band have already started if anyone’s interested. The good news is that Gramas.jp does support International shipping if anyone’s interested.
