We all know that the Bell & Ross square-cased BR models drew their inspiration from gauges in aircraft cockpits. Granted, in recent years, that has been kind of diluted to include novelty models like the BAPE edition and the Cyber Skull Sapphire, for example.
Not that we do not appreciate those. We do but it is nice to know that Bell & Ross sometime does revisit the root of square-cased BR and revisit it did with the Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Radiocompass Watch.
The BR 03-92 Radiocompass, which takes its name from a radio navigation tool, the Radio Compass, reproduces the display of the eponymous tool featuring the original colored hands. Obviously, it is not an exact replica of the Radio Compass.
“It reinterprets its hands and its graduations which allow optimal readability under all circumstances. The matt black dial contrasts with the white graduations arranged in 3 circles.”
Moreover, all the numbers are arranged in a targeted way as it was on some aircraft instruments.
Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Radiocompass Watch joins the iconic Flight Instruments collection from Bell & Ross, created back in 2010, that incorporates air navigation tools into the watchmaker’s horological pieces. It is available now, with a limited run of just 999 pieces, for US$4,100.
