This could be old news for some but damn, the Kotobukiya Darth Vader Industrial Empire Statue looks so freaking good that it will be a crime to not mention it. Purists may not concur but if you love Star Wars as much as Steampunk culture, the Kotobukiya Darth Vader Industrial Empire Statue should be an object of adoration.
Created by renowned artist Adi Granov in collaboration with Lucasfilm for Kotobukiya, the Kotobukiya Darth Vader Industrial Empire Statue is part of the toymaker’s ARTFX collection that reimagined the Dark Lord of the Sith and it looks absolutely stunning, IMHO.
It features Vader in a getup adorned with steampunk-worthy elements including metal plating, rivets, and gauges. The latter is not just super steampunk-ish but they also reflect the fact that the suit is a life support system for Vader. Super apt, super cool.
And would check out the uber steampunk-ish lightsaber! It’s a darling to look at and nearly as cool as Hacksmith’s real-life “lightsaber”.
The Kotobukiya Darth Vader Industrial Empire Statue is, as the product suggests, a fixed pose statue. It is masterfully crafted with ABS and PVC materials. The statue stands 12.4 inches (31.5 cm) tall. Each statue comes with a print of “Industrial Empire” too. Awesome.
Unlike so many products we feature here, the Kotobukiya Darth Vader Industrial Empire Statue is not a pre-order; it is available right now, as we speak, for around US$220 a pop.
