TAU Key Fob-size Power Bank Is As Convenient As A Keychain

Not sure how we managed to miss this super cool power bank when it was up on Indiegogo two years ago but hey if it is still relevant in 2022, it is worth mentioning, and so here it is, the TAU.

TAU is designed by Switzerland tech company Rolling Square and yes, it is totally a power bank, NOT an automobile key fob (though it does look very much like one).

As if keyfob-size isn’t convenient enough, TAU has USB-C, Lightning, and MicroUSB cables integrated right into it, so there is no need to worry if you did bring a cable or not.

The convenience does stop there. TAU makes it easy to top it up with electrons and is ready for its next outing with you (and your keys) – thanks to a proprietary dock that allows for recharging of the power bank as seamlessly as hanging your keys on the wall when you get home.

And did we mention that the dock uses nano suction technology to stick to most flat surfaces? This means it is hassle-free and repositionable. But if you are very sure it is not going to be moved ever, you can also choose to permanently install it to the wall with the included screws. The choice is yours.

Obviously, TAU is not going to charge your devices to full, let alone several times over. With a 1,400 mAh capacity battery, TAU is good for emergencies like providing your device with the juice for say, checking maps, showing your e-tickets, for example.

At just 40g (1.4 oz) and 60 x 45 x 12 mm (2.32 x 1.77 x 0.47 inches), TAU kind of turned power bank into an everyday carry that is perfect for any urban survivalist. Even more so because it is pretty affordable, costing just US$29 a pop. TAU is available now from Rollingsquare.com.
