When Disney bought Lucasfilm in 2012, you know the entertainment giant had big plans for the Star Wars franchise. Sure enough. We saw a string of movies. Some of them were good and some of them were just, well, forgettable.
But movies alone aren’t it. There is the ongoing animated series with LEGO, with more to come, and there are, of course, live-action series which started with The Mandalorian and a host of it planned.
The “host of it” includes this: The Book of Boba Fett, starring none other than Temuera Morrison aka the original Jango Fett from 2002’s Attack of the Clones, and the voice of Boba Fett in the 2004’s re-release of The Empire Strikes Back.
Morrison also played Boba Fett in season 2 of The Mandalorian, which the new live-action series spin-off from, alongside Ming-Na Wen who played the mercenary Fennec Shand.
“The Book of Boba Fett,” a thrilling Star Wars adventure teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale of “The Mandalorian,” finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.”
Star Wars The Book of Boba Fett will start streaming on Disney+ on December 29, 2021. Meanwhile, here’s the official trailer:
