Bose’s First Dolby Atmos Speaker Has Proprietary Spatial Technologies In The Mix

The soundbars Bose has hardly can be considered immersive cinema audio. That changes, though, with the new Bose Smart Soundbar 900 – its first Dolby Atmos-enabled soundbar.

Bose Smart Soundbar 900

Bose Smart Soundbar 900 not only have Dolby Atmos; it also features Bose’s proprietary spatial technologies that elevate the Dolby Atmos content by separating instruments, dialogue, and effects, and then places them in discreet parts of a room – far above, and to the far right and left – thus creating an immersive cinema audio experience.

Designed for 50-inch or larger flatscreen TVs, the Bose Smart Soundbar 900 is presented in an oval-shaped design with a wraparound metal grille before finishing with a polished, impact-resistant tempered glass top. Connection to a flatscreen TV is simple and clean, via the HDMI eARC with just one cable.

The soundbar further features WiFi and Bluetooth for wireless audio streaming, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa for voice control, Bose QuietPort technology for exceptional bass, and compatibility with Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2, and other Bose smart speakers.

It is worthy to mention that the built-in Alexa also supports taking and making calls, and the soundbar further touts an exclusive Bose Voice4Video feature that turns a TV on to the channel or input asked for – with just one command (kind of like a routine).

The Bose Smart Soundbar 900 can be had from Bose.com and Amazon for US$899, and in a choice of black or white.
