That’s right, folks. There are more Evangelion-themed work tools. Joining the myriad of functional tools, which include hand tools, Dremel-like power tools, are the A.T. Field x Hakko Dial-type Temperature Controlled Soldering Iron and A.T. Field x Olfa Cutter NERV Model and A.T. Field x Olfa Cutter Mat A3 NERV Model.
As the name implies, the A.T. Field x Hakko Dial-type Temperature Controlled Soldering Iron is a cobranded product with Japanese soldering equipment maker Hakko. The otherwise run-of-the-mill-looking soldering iron has given the appropriate EVA treatment with translucent colorways and designs of EVA Unit 01, EVA Unit 02, and EVA Unit 00.
Technical features include a user-adjustable temperature of 200-500 degrees Celsius, a light-up EVA unit number to indicate temperature status, a ceramic heater element, and a dial key for temperature adjustment.
The A.T. Field x Hakko Dial-type Temperature Controlled Soldering Iron was actually available since last year, in Japan, for 8,000 yen (around US$73) a pop.
While not every EVA fans have a use for soldering iron, I am sure most fans will have a use for a box cutter aka utility knife aka penknife and a cutting mat. If so, the A.T. Field x Olfa Cutter NERV Model and A.T. Field x Olfa Cutter Mat A3 NERV Model should interest these fans.
As the product names imply, they are cobranded stationery with utility knife maker Olfa, featuring some very interesting mechanical design details on the penknife and on the cutting mat.
The A.T. Field x Olfa Cutter NERV Model and A.T. Field x Olfa Cutter Mat A3 NERV Model were introduced last year in Japan, priced at 1,100 yen and 2,600 yen (around US$10 and US$24), respectively.
You can find these Evangelion-themed soldering iron and stationery at EVA store, Rakuten, and Amazon Japan.
